DESCRIPTION:Using the Shang Han Za Bing Lun to Treat and Understand Autoimmune Conditions in our Modern Clinical Setting\nInstructor: Laurie Ayres\nNote: This is a VIRTUAL EVENT and will be held online via “Zoom”\n1pm – 5:30pm CST \n\nApplication of the Shang Han Za Bing Lun through the Tian lineage in autoimmune diseases\nOverview of 6 conformation theory and the febrile response and its importance in autoimmune disease\nGeneral principles in treat autoimmune disease\nTreatments of specific diseases\n\nThis lecture will focus on the understanding and treatment of autoimmune diseases the Shang Han Za Bing Lun within the Tian Lineage system. We will begin with a brief review of the basics of 6 conformation theory and the febrile response and its importance in autoimmune disease. \nDuring this lecture we will examine the classical understanding of the immune response\, and how this can be used to understand acute flares of autoimmune diseases and their progression to chronic pathologies. We will explore the key principles of managing acute flares\, the long-term treatment of the underlying chronic state\, and the important transition between the two when moving out of a flare and back into the long-term treatment \nWe will then discuss common treatments and progressions in a number of the most commonly seen autoimmune diseases\, including rheumatoid arthritis\, crohns disease and ulcerative colitis\, autoimmune thyroid issues\, multiple sclerosis\, among others. \nThe aim of this lecture is not to merely give protocols for certain diseases\, but to help the practitioner understand the principles of treating autoimmune diseases so they are better able to analyze\, understand and treat the multitude of presentations that will come their way in clinic. \nNote: The event will be a live event with the possibility of missing only one of the three and receiving it as a recording. \nNote: Early bird pricing will be offered until 9/24.
